The best selling book in the world ever is the Bible. However, sales figures were poor for the first few centuries. Most people couldn't read and the ones who could were mainly monks and notoriously frugal. Once people learned to read and the printing press was invented, book sales became much healthier. People went to the high street and bought whatever book they fancied. We stand on the precipice of a revolution, much the same as the one the music industry has undergone. It almost seems there are as many writers now as there are readers. The ebook hasn't taken hold yet because readers, tablets etc (look a bit like etch-a-sketch) seem limited and expensive. I believe the Ipad will assist in ebook sales (though it's only the first step). If you are a writer and are selling your ebook through your own website, email me your URL and I'll post it on the book links page.
